Cuisinart ICE-50BCA Ice Cream Maker

As promised, here is my basic recipe for the Cuisinart Icecream Maker. Each flavour I create is a variation from this original base recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups thickened cream
  • 1 cup full fat milk
  • 2/3 cup pure icing sugar

Method

  1. Using an electric beater, mix the milk and icing sugar in a bowl.
  2. Once sugar as disolved, add your cream and whip until very thick.
  3. Pour mixture into Cuisinart Icecream Maker.
  4. Turn timer to 40 minutes.
  5. Allow Icecream to do its magic.
  6. Icecream maker will switch off when timer has finished or when icecream is thick enough (whatever comes first).
  7. Serve immediately or store in an airproof container and freeze.

TIPS

  • Please note when adding alcohol, you will need to set the timer to 60 minutes.
  • Alcoholic Icecream will not freeze solid and  will keep its soft texture when stored in the freezer.
  • When adding non-alcoholic liquid to the mixture, you will need to set the timer to 50 minutes.
  • Non-Alocoholic icecream will freeze solid in the freezer, so it is best served immediately from the Icecream Maker.
