Wine and beer tastings, demonstrations, Celebrity Chefs, food samples, cooking classes and foodie workshops are just a selection of treats to satisfy your culinary curiosity, at the Perth Good Food and Wine Show 2016.
This is my absolute favourite
foodie event of the year.
I’ve blocked out my calendar from Friday-Sunday and will be dedicating the weekend to immersing myself in all things culinary. So. Freaking. Excited.
If you’re a foodie voyeur like me, you’ll be keen on checking out the decent line up of Celebrity Chefs coming this year. Look out for:
- Gary Mehigan
- Adriano Zumbo
- Anna Gare
- Miguel Maestre
- Sammy and Bella (MKR Winners)
- Eva and Debra (MKR finalists)
Being a student Chef, I am hoping to get a little more hands on with my experiences at the Perth Good Food and Wine Show. I’ve spotted something new on the schedule – the Good Food School: by Murray River Salt.
All about “loving your guts”, this program will have 2 different classes teaching attendees how to ferment. In a hands on 45 minute workshop you will learn how to make your own Kraut or Kimchi. They also get into Kombucha and Ginger Beer. AWESOME. Very much looking forward to this one!
Nowadays I tend to drink beer as my drop of choice, and love the challenge of beer and food pairing. With this in mind, I’ve got my eyes on a few sessions at the Dan Murphy’s Beer and Cider Hall:
- Beer & Cheese – Revolutionise your world
- Beer & Bites – How to host a beer dinner.
