Balsamic Reduction

Ingredients

  • 150ml 4 leaf Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 large shallot (thinly sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

Method

Place all ingredients in a heavy saucepan or frying pan.
Keep the heat on low and allow to simmer until sauce has thickened and reduced by half.
Strain ingredients through a metal sieve.
Store in a glass jar and serve with fruit, meat, fish or vegetables.
